Adverse weather conditions on the Solent have led to the suspension of Hovertravel’s services this morning (Wednesday).
Gale force winds have led to the decision to cancel all crossings to and from Ryde.
Services haven’t run at all so far today, with an initial hope that things may improve by 08:00. However, the most recent update has confirmed that the cross-Solent operation is expected to remain suspended until at least 10:00.
Tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fast Cat service.
All other cross-Solent services are running to timetable, although Red Funnel’s Red Jet is operating a previously-advised revised timetable due to staff shortages.
UPDATE – Services have now resumed as of 11:45 from Ryde.
Tunnel time, perfect in all weathers.
