Following a heavy shower of soft hail this afternoon (Tuesday) and reports of snow heading towards the Isle of Wight on Friday, many are asking if the Island will see snow this week. Unfortunately, the answer may upset a few.
Local weather forecaster Jamie Russell of Isle of Wight Weather (IOWW) has said it is unlikely the Island will see snow as some have predicted, with things set to turn warmer and wetter as the working week draws to a close.
In a forecast issued tonight, Isle of Wight Weather have said:
“Tomorrow will start off with a mixture of cloudy periods but also some sunny spells mixed in too. There is the risk of a very light shower during the afternoon. Max temperature 8’c with Wind fresh west-northwesterly but dropping to moderate by evening.
“There has been a few forecasts of snow for the end of the week but currently it looks cold with sunny spells on Thursday and becoming milder and wet again on Friday”.
