Wight Tri members enjoyed a successful weekend of racing at events in both Dorset and at home on the Isle of Wight.
Sean Williams had a fantastic race at the Rempstone Roast MTB Duathlon, held at Rempstone in Dorset.
Williams had a brilliant event, racing against all the young teenagers to finish 3rd overall behind an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old.
They were both faster on the initial 2.5-mile run, but Sean pulled back some time on the bike, posting the fastest bike split overall of 36:21 for the 11.5-mile course and exited T2 in 2nd place.
However, the swift running by the 16-year-old old saw Sean being overtaken on the 2nd run to finish in 3rd place overall in 1:09:18 and also claim 1st vet 50+ award.
Elsewhere, here on the Island, it was the Chilly Hilly – a gruelling 10-mile off-road run around Freshwater organised by West Wight Sports Centre.
It was an event that Wight Tri were well represented in, with 13 members taking part and producing some excellent performances.
1st home for Wight Tri was Dean Pike, who finished 8th overall in 1:12:19, and 4th in the Vet 40 category. Craig Wilson was next in 12th position and 2nd Vet 50 in 1:15:49, followed closely by Jack Elton-Walters, who was having a super race to finish 13th overall and 5th senior male in 1:16:21.
The women were equally as impressive, again with 4 runners in the top 15.

Hannah Bryan was the 3rd Wight Tri female to finish in a fantastic 11th female position and 4th Vet 40, posting 1:33:51 in her first ever 10-mile race.
