A dramatic waterspout has formed off the coast of the East Wight this morning (Saturday).
Those out and about at around 10:15 noticed the feature forming, many believing it may have been another tornado. It was in September 2022 that a 120mph tornado ripped across the East Wight causing damage to homes and buildings.
An intense column-shaped vortex is known as a waterspout when it occurs over a body of water. It happens when there is a large temperature difference between the water and the air.
Local weather forecasters IW Met Service have confirmed to Island Echo that it is a waterspout.
The meteorological occurrence has been seen from all over the East Wight and even over the water in Southsea.
In Bembridge, a trampoline has been lifted into the air from a back garden and has smashed into a greenhouse next door.

Others who care for their nation and its people would wish it had transported the illegals back to their mother country, along with those who are too unintelligent to see the cost and harm that illegal unchecked and never ending numbers cause

It was not uncommon to see them south of the island when I used to get out on the water in my own boat fairly regularly. Admittedly they were often well in the distance so did not look as big as the one illustrated.
A “geological occurence”? I don’t think so. But any scribe who can use numerals in prose can hardly be relied on for sound information.
