UPDATED: Fire crews are attending a collision between a car and tractor on the main road through Arreton this morning (Friday).
Emergency services are working to extricate one person who is currently trapped inside their vehicle.
The incident, which has involved a VW Caddy and a tractor, has occurred at the junction with Cherrywood View.
The main road from Sandown to Newport has been closed by Police. Southern Vectis buses are facing delays and diversions as a result.
UPDATE @ 11:10 – The main road through Arreton has now been reopened in both directions.
One male has been freed from his vehicle with fire crews removing a door. He has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital.
No one is thought to have sustained any serious injuries in the low-impact collision.
The scene has now been cleared.
