There’s less than a week to go until voting closes for Red Funnel’s annual Isle of Wight Awards, which celebrates the rich diversity of local businesses across the Island.
The highly anticipated annual event recognises a wide spectrum of businesses ranging from those which have been part of the Island for decades, to exciting newcomers bringing fresh talent to the scene. Awards are issued across 20 unique categories, each falling under 1 of 3 main pillars: Food and Drink, Stay, Things to Do and Other.
Voting closes at 00:00 on Friday (30th September). The top 3 businesses with the most votes in each category will be invited to attend the official awards ceremony where they will find out if they have won a gold, silver or bronze award. The highly anticipated annual event will take place at Northwood House, Cowes, on Monday 10th November.
Fran Collins, Chief Executive of Red Funnel, said:
“The Isle of Wight is an amazing place, filled with diverse and remarkable places to go, stay and eat. And it’s the hardworking and talented businesses in these sectors which sustain the Island as one of the top tourist destinations in the UK.
“Since Red Funnel began over 160 years ago, celebrating all that is special and unique about the Isle of Wight has been at our very core.
“It’s important that locals and visitors alike get the opportunity to vote for their favourite businesses so that every corner of the Island is celebrated in this year’s awards. I wish every single incredible Island business the very best of luck!”
Last year’s awards recognised Island businesses including Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park, Comicoffee UK, Smoking Lobster, Isle of Wight Steam Railway and Peach Vegan Kitchen & Zero Waste Store.
The highly anticipated awards will recognise businesses which have been part of the fabric of the Island for decades, as well as exciting newcomers bringing fresh talent to the scene.
