Motorists can expect travel disruption over the next 11 days as temporary traffic lights are to be erected on the main Newport to Sandown road at Branstone this morning (Monday).
The traffic lights will be in place until Friday 15th September due to a requirement by Openreach to relocate 1 of their chambers next to the new Branstone development.
Traffic is expected to build in both directions but manual control will be undertaken between 06:30-09:30 and 15:30-18:30 each day.
The Isle of Wight Council, which has agreed to the works because of their essential nature in relation to the Branstone development, apologises for any inconvenience.
