Staff at a convenience store in Newport were threatened with a liquid – feared to be acid – when the store was robbed on Boxing Day.
The incident took place at Central on Hunnyhill at around 18:00 yesterday (26th December).
Police responded at speed to the scene after it was reported that a man had entered the store and threatened staff, demanding they empty money from the till.
The man, who was holding a bottle containing an unknown substance, got away with around £400 in cash.
No arrests have yet been made.
