The Vaccination Hub at St Mary’s Hospital has opened its doors to the public and is offering COVID vaccinations to those who are eligible.
Everyone aged 65 years and over, those with a weakened immune system, pregnant women, carers and frontline health and social care workers will be offered a seasonal COVID-19 vaccine. People living in care homes are also being prioritised.
Anyone eligible for a COVID vaccination will be invited to book directly through their GP practice. Alternatively, people can book using the National Booking Service, the NHS App, or by calling 119.
St Mary’s Vaccination Hub is open Monday to Thursday from 07:40 to 17:45. Although the Hub accepts walk-ins, booking an appointment in advance using the National Booking Service is advised to avoid long waits.
St Mary’s Hospital is unable to provide assistance with queries relating to booking a coronavirus vaccination or changing vaccination appointments and the public is asked not to call NHS111 or the Hospital Switchboard but to call 119 with their enquiry.
Sue Lightfoot, Clinical Lead at St Mary’s Vaccination Hub, said:
“We know that for some people COVID-19 can cause serious illness and anyone who is considered at higher risk will be invited to book with their GP Practice.
“It is really important for frontline health and social care workers, carers and anyone who are household contacts of people with immunosuppression, to come forward and have their vaccinations as soon as possible to protect themselves from becoming unwell and reduce the risk of passing the virus on to others.
“St Mary’s Vaccination Hub gets very busy so we recommend booking an appointment in advance to avoid having to wait at peak times, and to call 119 if you have any queries about your vaccination.”
St Mary’s Vaccination Hub is located in the South Block building opposite the duck pond. Parking is available in the public car park opposite the Main Hospital entrance. Accessibility parking is available at the back of the Vaccination Hub and alongside the South Block building. Access is via the old Laidlaw Hospital entrance.
There are a number of changes taking place on the St Mary’s Hospital site as part of the Investing in our Future Programme, so allow more time to park and get to your appointment.

Is covid still a thing.?
It was in the news every day for years, then abruptly it ceased ever to be mentioned again once Britain and America started a war with Russia.
It’s amazing how many young fit people drop dead these days. If you dare to insinuate that it was due to the vaccine then you get shouted at hand and foot.
Having witnessed near neighbours go absolutely bonkers after the vaccine it’s enough to put you off cereal for life. Fortunately the effects wore off and they returned to normal. They were then invited for a booster, shortly after they went absolutely bonkers again. Not a coincidence.
As you all know I only post factually correct information here so there’s no need to say that I lie
With a bit of luck people would have wised up and will not be making the same mistakes as last time. In the way of not being stupid enough to get another clot shot.
If you knew your science you would know that that was only attributed to the AstraZeneca Oxford vaccine in the under 45s. It no longer exists. It worked on the spike protein in a different way.
Unfortunately, too many folks are not that wise. They’ll be queuing up for the stuff.
Ah, an article about Covid.
Guaranteed to bring out the cockroaches.
According to recently released results from re-analysis of the trials on mrna vaccine, If one million people are vaccinated you will likely prevent 74 hospitalisations in return for 1000 people suffering serious side effects from the vaccine. I suggest you do your own research and perform your own risk benefit analysis before accepting another dose.
No thank you I will give it a miss
Natural immunity is much safer.
There is more harm from spike proteins than Covid

There have been millions of adverse reactions from these vaccines, yet they
have not been withdrawn.
Please do your research first.
Stay safe everyone.
Surely all the really toxic Jabs have been removed? Is this just a sampling approach to see how many still believe the government narrative?
Was never any long term info on ANY of them!that’s why your now seeing all the issues now.good luck too the sheep that will still line up and shorten there lives or blight it with health issues from clot shot.even this combined flue/covid one’s only been tested on small amount of mice lol
Di your research..its out there on utube with very reputable doctors and scientists.NOT WITH THE MEDIA OR BIG PHARMAS
I wonder if flu is back on the menu this year after it made a magical disappearance to make room for covid?
And, who decides these things now? It was Matt Hancock, obviously, a few years ago when he talked about ‘deploying’ the new variant and that he wanted to ‘frighten the pants off everyone’.
The jabs have caused the problems.
