UPDATED: Hovertravel have been forced to suspend their Ryde to Southsea service this afternoon (Saturday).
The Cross-Solent operator has announced that services have been cancelled once again due to technical reasons.
With Solent Flyer still at Southampton for remedial works – with no update provided on the current status of the vessel as expected on Thursday – the entire Hovertravel operation is riding on Island Flyer.
It is unknown when a normal service will resume.
UPDATE @ 13:50 – Hovertravel day services will resume at 14:15 from Ryde and 14:30 from Southsea.
No reason has been given for today’s suspension, nor has any update been given on the status of Solent Flyer – an update was meant to be provided on Thursday.
