A sailor with a head injury was brought ashore at Yarmouth Harbour this afternoon (Sunday) where paramedics and Coastguards were waiting to assist.
Needles Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked at 14:43 to meet a sailing vessel heading into Yarmouth after reporting having an injured crew member onboard.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were also mobilised to the scene, providing initial casualty care.
Coastguard Rescue Officers assisted with transferring the casualty from the yacht into the ambulance for onward conveyance to St Mary’s Hospital.
The incident was concluded shortly before 16:30.
