There is once again a greengrocer in Ryde following the opening of The Vegetable Cart on High Street earlier this week.
The owners of Mellish’s across the road, Mr and Mrs Dhaliwal, have taken over the premises on the High Street, as first and exclusively reported by Island Echo.
It follows a huge wave of disappointment at the start of the year when it was announced that Barrow Boys was shutting its doors for good.
But earlier this week (Wednesday) The Vegetable Cart opened its doors for the first time with it already proving popular among locals in the seaside town.
With many supermarkets now struggling to source decent fruit and vegetables the news will be much-welcomed by Ryde residents, especially as they will not have to walk past yet another long vacant shop on the High Street.
The Vegetable Cart will stock all the usual fruit and veg favourites, as well as local produce such as milk and cheese.

Good luck I will pop along to buy some goodies
