Residents are being invited to attend Ryde’s Annual Town Meeting this Thursday evening (28th May) to hear updates on key community projects and local initiatives.
Hosted by Ryde Town Council, the ‘Celebrating Ryde’ event will take place at The Department on Thursday 28th May between 18:00 and 20:00, with doors opening at 17:45.
The meeting is open to all Ryde residents and will bring together local representatives and community partners to reflect on achievements over the past year and discuss priorities for the future.
Attendees will hear updates from a range of organisations and initiatives, including the Mayor of Ryde, the Town of Culture programme, Network Ryde, neighbourhood policing teams, the Isle of Poop campaign and the Ryde Neighbourhood Board.
Mayor of Ryde, Councillor Lucioni, has said:
“The Annual Town Meeting is an opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved together as a community and to hear about the exciting projects currently underway. I encourage everyone to attend.”
No booking is required and light refreshments will be available.
Organisers have stressed that the event is a meeting of the town, rather than a formal meeting of the council.
