Wightlink has announced that Ryde Pier will be closed to vehicles for the next 2 evenings (Wednesday and Thursday) to allow resurfacing to take place on the access road.
Foot passengers will be able to get to and from Wightlink’s FastCat terminal as usual and cyclists can access the Pier if they push their bikes through the pedestrian gate.
On both days, the closures will start at 20:00 and finish at 05:00 the next morning. Alternative parking is available at Ryde Esplanade.
If you park your car at the FastCat terminal on Wednesday and Thursday and return after 20:00, you won’t be able to drive off the Pier until the following day.
A spokesperson from Wightlink has said:
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our late-evening customers.”

I do hope Parker doesn’t leave the Bentley up there. I can do without the Rolls but not the Bentley.
So I take it if you can walk fine if not your screwed as I believe the trains are still not functioning to the pier head .
Your a clever little cookie ain’t ya!
This is outrageous. This is a war on cars. We should be able to drive right onto the Fastcat!
Ha ha ha! Very funny! I take it that you meant that to be a joke. If not you need to sort out the difference between Ryde pier and Fishbourne car ferry terminal.
