25-year-old Leon Gladdis from Ryde has been charged with stalking and engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour following incidents alleged to have taken place in July and August.
Gladdis, from Southfield Gardens, appeared in court today (Wednesday) following an investigation by Hampshire Constabulary.
Police arrested Gladdis earlier this week and following a charging decision being made, he was remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
It’s at Portsmouth where the 25-year-old was further remanded to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on 3rd October.
Island Echo understands that Police were searching the Southfield Gardens area of Ryde on Saturday afternoon.

if people don’t learn quickly then prison sentences should be mandatory – prison is not just to punish but to protect others,as said before if financial cost to health, Insurance companies, court’s and legal etc could easily fund prisons and prisons should then ensure prisoners work and be some way self -funding. Works in other countries. We are to soft on repeat criminals and don’t consider the long term impact on victims and others who fear becoming victims.
well they have kept him locked up till october thats something.
I agree Freddie. Just a search of this cretin’s name shows how much of a repeat offender he is. He offers nothing to society and is instead draining it. Prison, as you describe it, would be its best option
