UPDATED: Police have closed the main road into Yarmouth this afternoon (Monday) as a result of a road traffic collision near Cranmore.
The incident has taken place on the A3054 Bouldnor Road between Shalfleet and Thorley.
Emergency services are on scene and are tending to those involved. The road has been closed at the Horse and Groom pub.
Southern Vectis say their Route 7 buses via Shalfleet will divert via Wellow and Thorley in both directions under further notice. The 13:06 bus to Yarmouth is currently unable to proceed.

UPDATE @ 14:37 – Thankfully, no one has been seriously injured in the incident which has involved a Volvo V60, a Citroen C4 and a Ford.
Bartletts Service Station are on scene to recover the vehicles.
The road is expected to re-open shortly.
UPDATE @ 15:20 – The road has now re-opened in both directions.
