Island duo Hester Chambers and Rhian Teasdale – who make up hit duo Wet Leg – have been nominated for an Ivor Novello award.
Nominated in the Songwriter of the Year category, the local twosome will hope to fend off competition from the likes of Florence Welsh, Harry Styles, Matty Healy and Kid Harpoon and grab yet another accolade to add to their already impressive collection.
As well as the success at the BRITS back in February, the pair also received 2 prestigious Grammy awards for Best Alternative Album and Best Alternative Music Performance earlier that month.
Winners in each category will be announced at the ceremony on 18th May at the prestigious Grosvenor House in London.
