Residents living in the Shanklin area are being urged to remain vigilant following a recent spate of criminal damage to vehicles in the town.
Police are investigating reports of damage to vehicles in the vicinity of Carter Avenue and Albert Road, which have mostly occurred in the late evening and overnight and have involved vehicles parked on the road.
PCSO Matt Wheeler of Shanklin Police Station said:
“I would urge residents to be vigilant and ensure that, if you have to park on the road, you are in a well lit location with a clear view of your vehicle from your home.
“It would also be prudent to turn your wing mirrors in whilst parked”.
Any suspicious activity should be reported to Police by calling 101 or in an emergency 999.
