Residents from The Elms Care Home visited Bembridge Lifeboat Station recently to hand over funds raised during a Christmas event – and to enjoy a live launch of the station’s D Class lifeboat.
The festive fundraiser was held to support the RNLI in Bembridge, with activities including tombolas, raffles, live bagpipe music, and a visit from Father Christmas in his grotto.
Those who took part in the event later visited the station to present the donation and were treated to a demonstration launch by the volunteer lifeboat crew.
Residents said they thoroughly enjoyed both the festive celebrations and the opportunity to witness the lifeboat launch first-hand.
The Elms have hosted 2 community events during 2025 and are already looking forward to more in the year ahead.
