RECOGNITION FOR ISLE OF WIGHT TOURISM BUSINESSES

steamrailwayhavenstreetsunA host of Isle of Wight tourism businesses are celebrating their hard work and dedication having made it through to the 2015 final of the Beautiful South Awards for Excellence, hosted and organised by Tourism South East (TSE).

The finalists for the prestigious tourism awards have been chosen from the cream of the South East’s tourism industry by independent judges and recognise exceptional levels of customer service and dedication to raising standards in the industry.

Tourism providers in the final are: Lower Hyde, Park Resorts and Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park (Holiday Park/Holiday Village of the Year), Isle of Wight Steam Railway (Large Visitor Attraction of the Year), Tom’s Eco Lodge (Self Catering Accommodation), Electric Woods – Robin Hill Country Park (Tourism Event of the Year) and Isle of Wight Visitor Information Centre/Travel Ambassadors, (Visitor Information Provider of the Year).

Finalists will find out whether they have won Gold, Silver or Bronze at the Awards Celebration on Wednesday 2nd December 2015 at The Grand Hotel in Brighton. Winners of a Gold, Silver or Bronze Award will be invited to represent the South East in their respective categories at the National Visit England Awards in 2016.

Westbury Lodge, Shanklin - credit Westbury LodgeThere’s also good news for Westbury Lodge in Shanklin who have received national recognition from Visit England with the presentation of an inaugural ‘ROSE’ (in Recognition Of Service Excellence) award.  The awards have been designed to showcase accommodation establishments that provide the warmest of welcome, places where the owners, managers and staff really know how to delight their customers, irrespective of their star rating, style or type of accommodation.
