Residents in 8 postcodes within the Arreton area are without power this afternoon (Saturday).
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) say that they became aware of the fault at 14:35.
The company has engineers working on the issue, and supplies are expected to be restored to homeowners by 18:00 this evening.

It happens all the time because they can’t keep up with demand due to lack of investment in upgrading supply to the Island. Drones and those super hammers are just gimmicks
