A woman was arrested – but has subsequently been released with no further action to be taken – following a public order incident in Upper Ventnor yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
Police were called at 17:20 to reports of an incident outside a property on Lowtherville Road, off Newport Road.
A number of officers responded to the scene at speed to defuse the situation and investigate the circumstances.
A 39-year-old woman from Ventnor was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with alcohol above the limit but was released with no further action to be taken.
Police continue to conduct enquiries to find out exactly what happened.
