POLICE GRANTED AN EXTRA 24 HOURS TO QUESTION 3 MEN OVER SANDOWN ASSAULT

Published at:

The court has given Police an extra 24 hours to question 3 men arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following an assault in Sandown on Thursday night.

As previously reported by Island Echo, a 19-year-old man from Newport, a 31-year-old man from Sandown and a 34-year-old man from Ryde were arrested after a 35-year-old from Shanklin sustained a fractured skull during an assault on Crescent Road, Sandown.

The trio were transported to the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court in Newport late yesterday afternoon (Saturday) for a brief hearing. It is here that Magistrates granted a warrant for further detention.

This will then be the homeless that most on here thumbed down my accurate representation of the majority of such when I suggest to leave such in the gutter rather than accommodate such at OUR, not the councils, but OUR expense in hotels.

At best a shipping container at the back of Lyn bottom tip, with a stand pipe for water is what I would provide, and vet each carefully to see if those worth helping could then be moved on to better places, with the proviso that the ‘tip awaits’ should you damage anything or be in any way anti social.

Kindness is seen as weakness by today’s generation.

If in doubt YOU offer a room to such. Not YOUR responsibility? can’t afford too? Afraid they may harm those you love? Worried about the damage they will cause? Well, the same for those who have such rubbish now living near them, the only difference is we ALL pay for something ‘we’ never wanted.

I suggest we house these sort in the large gardens of MP’s and those in high positions in the council or Police, and THEN see how ‘differently’ the attitudes would change.

Well i voted your comments up , I hate how our society has become in this country where anything goes, and if you’re scum, you’ve got a retinue of do-gooders all speaking up on your behalf and if you’re a decent person, you’re looked down on.

How can homeless people come from Ryde Newport and sandown? If they were homeless they’d be from the island only.
