UPDATED: Police are attending an ongoing incident at the wet end of Ryde Pier tonight (Tuesday).
A number of officers are currently on scene at the historic pier where they are understood to be talking with a vulernable individual.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team are also in attendance alongside Ryde Inshore Rescue, who have their Rescue 2 Lifeboat standing by to the North.
It is unclear at this stage if Wightlink catamaran services are affected.
UPDATE @ 23:01 – The incident has been brought to a safe conclusion with 1 male being led away.
Emergency services are now standing down.
Ryde Pier remains open as normal.
