Police have launched an appeal to locate a driver who is being sought in relation to a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Gurnard on 29th January, in which an 11-year-old girl was injured.
The school girl was walking home along Cockleton Lane on Friday 29th January at around 15:15 when a small silver car, quite possibly a Vauxhall Corsa, is alleged to have struck the girl. The driver, who is thought to be female, did not stop.
The vehicle and its driver were last seen heading towards the Gurnard Pines. Thankfully, the young girl was not seriously injured however has been treated for a suspected broken wrist.
