The team at St George’s Nursery and Pre-School is celebrating a fantastic Ofsted report, with inspectors awarding an ‘Outstanding’ rating across the board.
It was on 18th November that His Majesty’s Inspectorate paid a visit to the Arreton-based facility which is run by KNL Childcare Ltd.
Inspectors have now declared that the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership are outstanding.
It’s an improvement from ‘Good’ at the previous inspection in 2018.
In their report, Ofsted said:
“Children thrive at this exciting, home-from-home nursery. They arrive happy and eager to learn. All children, from babies through to the pre-school, show they are safe and secure in their play as they explore freely”.
Emma Seabrook, Manager, has said:
“We are so pleased with the result of the inspection. We work so hard every day to provide every child with the right opportunities to allow them to grow and develop and it is wonderful to have this recognised by OFSTED.
“This is something that couldn’t have been achieved without such an incredible staff team who really do go above and beyond for the children in our care. Team work really does make the dream work at St George’s Nursery and Pre-School.”
With adjoining Arreton St George’s CE Primary School set to close, Karen White, director of KNL, has sought to address the issues.
Karen has said:
“We were re-assured by the local authority in September that any proposed school closures would not be affecting us and we are hoping to enter into discussions with the diocese in the new year regarding moving forward.
“It is, however, a worrying time for everyone in our community and we are working alongside the school to assist the children and siblings affected, especially those that are using our breakfast and after-school club provision.”

Very well deserved Karen and team! Well done!
