The Isle of Wight Council has confirmed that there will be no changes to waste and recycling collections over the August Bank Holiday period.
Monday (28th August) is a Bank Holiday, marking the end of Summer for many before the kids go back to school from 4th September.
However, despite being a long Bank Holiday weekend, it has been confirmed that rubbish will continue to be collected as normal across the Isle of Wight.
There will be no changes to waste and recycling collections for the week commencing 28th August. Furthermore, local tips at Lynnbottom and Afton Marsh will be open as usual. However, Islanders must still book in advance – a stealth measure introduced during COVID but never removed.
Bulky waste and reuse collections will continue as normal.
Islanders are being reminded to place their rubbish out for collection as normal by 07:00.
