A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following an incident at a property in Newport.
Police were called to a residential address at 10:30 yesterday morning (Monday) when allegations of a sexual nature were reported to Hampshire Constabulary.
Officers remained at the location with scenes of crime forensic investigators called in.
As part of the force’s investigation, a man in his 20s and from the Newport area was arrested and questioned.
He has since been bailed until 24th May whilst enquiries continue.
