Over 560 cars are expected to take part in this weekend’s Classic Car Extravaganza in Ryde, with thousands of enthusiasts set to descend on the seaside town for the free 2-day extravaganza.
The weather forecast is more than favourable with bright sunshine and clear skies expected for this year’s event across Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September 2023, between 10:00-17:30.
A whole host of vehicles from all eras will be on display between Superbowl and Appley, including a 100-year-old Ford Model T which is being driven all the way from Switzerland. It is known that there will be many cars taking part that have previously been unseen at the much-loved show, which is now in its 22nd year. Exhibitor spaces are now at capacity.
TV’s Sarah Crabtree – best known for her role on Bangers and Cash — will be in attendance across the whole weekend.
Speaking about this weekend’s event, new organiser Paddy McHugh has told Island Echo:
“I’m very honoured and humbled to take on such an iconic event.
“The show was the life and passion of the late Vic Gallucci, who sadly passed away back in May. He had already started planning this year’s event, which we now hold in his memory.
“For me, it is all about making sure the event happens for Vic. It would have been such a shame if it didn’t take place as it has done for the past 22 years.

A special service remembering the life of Vic will be held near to Superbowl and Ryde Harbour at 14:00 on Sunday afternoon. It will be an opportunity for everyone to celebrate his life and thank him for his amazing efforts in putting on the Classic Car Extravaganza.
