An electrical explosion at the substation on Quarry Road in Ryde this afternoon (Wednesday) has been dramatically captured on video by a local resident.
It is thought that 2 explosions occurred and that after the 1st, a Ryde resident managed to capture the 2nd on camera.
As previously reported by Island Echo, power was lost to around 2,000 homes and businesses earlier today. Live power cables fell across the allotments on Quarry Road in Ryde, leading to a cordon being erected.

Why was this being filmed like this at the time? Were they expecting something to happen?
Read the article. There had already been one explosion.
The article is 4 sentences long and you still managed to not read it properly. This was the second explosion, the guy was filming after the first one in case another happened.
This was explained in the text above the clip.
Read the report…. he was filming the second explosion. I guess the first one alerted him…
did you not read the article?

Er 1st explosion – so someone started filming then a second explosion. They then played video n paused it at moment of explosion n screenshotted. Not hard to work out really. Don’t think 24th of the 5th is gonna play out like 9/11…. Maybe see if Icke can get behind your theory
Computers went off in shops and couldn’t be served even with payng cash.Shows how vulnerable to a cyber or grid attack, be it nstural or from an enemy
.No food , fuel.No manual back ups.Chaos!
That together with the vulnerability of our undersea power cables just goes to show how foolish we have been pandering to the green lobby and destroying all our onshore power stations, fuel for which we could have dug up from beneath our feet.
You’re an idiot. The fuel is still there if we ever need it. Better to stay down there in case of emergency instead of burning it all now. But I guess if you want the coast line to be in Newport and to have 50C summer temps everyday, yer, lets burn even more. And with global worming, the current influx of refugees will look like the good days.
We cant stop global warming! The planet has always wormed up since the last ice age, and will continue to do so, until its completed its cycle….After that, we won’t exist anymore…
