UPDATED: Police have closed Lugley Street in Newport this morning (Thursday) as a result of a minor road traffic collision.
A van and a car have been involved in a small come to at the junction with Mill Street.
Officers from the Island’s Joint Armed Response and Roads Policing team are in attendance.
The road is currently blocked from its junction with St James’ Street.
No one is thought to be seriously injured.
UPDATE @ 10:18 – Island Echo understands a female has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital with minor injuries.
The road is expected to re-open shortly.
