A microwave fire at a flat in Cowes sparked a call out for Isle of Wight fire crews earlier this evening (Tuesday).
3 appliances from Newport, Cowes and Ryde – and an officer – were mobilised by fire control to Medina Road at just before 17:15.
It had been reported to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service that a kitchen appliance had caught fire.
Upon arrival of firefighters, the incident had been brought under control.
Crews were stood down a short while later.
