A medical emergency in East Cowes has led to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance being scrambled to the North Wight Town this morning (Saturday).
Having left their Thruxton base at around 08:30, flying doctors circled the Osborne area of the town before landing in the nearby Osborne Golf Club.
Joined on the ground scene by an Operational Commander and 2 ambulances from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, all medical professionals are tending to a casualty at an address in the York Avenue area.
UPDATE @ 10:15 – The patient has been conveyed to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance.





























































































I hope the person who was air lifted fully recovers. Thank goodness for the excelent air ambulance and IOW paramedics and ambulance crew, hub. We will never know how many lives are saved each day due to their dedication. Thoughts of good wishes goes to the family and friends especially if it is a holiday maker away from home.
