A 48-year-old man from Ryde has been arrested on suspicion of burglary following an incident in the town earlier this week, and another back in February.
Police say that on 5th February this year, an individual entered a property on Queens Road in Ryde and stole £50 from within.
On Monday (4th July), it’s said that an individual – thought to be the same man – entered a flat on Appley Rise, also in Ryde, but left when challenged by the occupant.
Police made a move to arrest the suspect yesterday (Wednesday), with suspected heroin and cannabis seized as a result. The 48-year-old has been further arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B drugs.

Hope he hats a serious sentence if convicted. Criminals need to be sent a message.
Violation of someone’s home is very distressing and has long term effects on their life.
If only. Some social worker will give the usual excuses…..
People like that should be shown to the community, a photo of him should be posted in various public places, so that we can watch out for these criminals.
Totally agree. Think they have the right to just take what they want
