A man involved in a drugs supply operation between the Isle of Wight and Surrey has been ordered to pay back thousands of pounds made from his criminal activities.
Kieran Rainford also had his extensive collection of designer trainers confiscated by the courts for destruction, following a Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) hearing at Newport Crown Court on 15th September.
The 39-year-old had previously been jailed for five and a half years on 14th January this year at the same court, for his involvement in the supply of heroin and cocaine between 19th November 2019 and 15th February 2021.
Shortly after his arrest in the Fareham area, Rainford was charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs – offences he initially denied before pleading guilty in Southampton Crown Court on 24th November 2021.
Phone data obtained by the police investigation revealed Rainford, of Cressall Close in Leatherhead, Surrey, was in charge of 5 phones which he used to send out marketing messages to drug users on the Island, in addition to his own personal phone.
Following a lengthy investigation and careful analysis of phone data, officers were able to link Rainford to the ‘Mikey’ County Lines drug network.
During last week’s POCA hearing, Newport Crown Court heard that Rainford benefitted to the tune of £68,662.18 from his involvement in the drugs supply line.
A Confiscation Order for the money was raised, and it was determined that Rainford currently has £9,756.15 available to him which he must pay within the next 3 months. Under the Confiscation Order, police and the courts can apply to seize further money and assets from Rainford in the future until the full £68k benefit has been paid off.

All his assets should be seized and sold off, he won’t need the money if he does his stint in prison, but I bet he has a hidden trove of “treasure” somewhere for when he gets out.
They don’t call this Treasure Island for nothing.
Investing your ill gotten gains in training shoes that’s not thick, thats solid! Village Idiot
Why do most of these type
of people, normally have a christian name beginning with the letter ” K “. ….?
what a happy looking sole bless him
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a happy looking fish! Oh, I see, you meant soul!
Anyone selling Heroin should be locked up for life
Before you condemn his conduct walk a mile in his shoes!
Well I guess he won’t be able to as they are being confiscated lol. What a shame
They are trainers, so you’ll actually be jogging in them.
Oh jog on…
Joe South,do you remember him ?
Or trainers! 🙂
Another one for the high cliff treatment
Could have got some Louis V trainers dead cheap from holiday in Turkey lmao
Criminal top tip, don’t put you money where they can find it. Live like a poorper then jack it in when you have enough to live off. And move to a place no one knows you. Job done.
Having no job and walking around in the latest gear, you may as well just hand yourself in.
Death penalty for drug dealing, simple as
With all that money he made he should have invested in a bar of soap he could do with a good wash
I was in jail with him and I bet he’s cleaner than you. Don’t speak shit about people until you know the story.
LMFAO…….WAS HE IN NORTHERN ISLAND WITH YOU ?
NO SURRENDER !
(dirty protest was it)…..?
Yet if he’d have played around with children he would have walked free with a pat on the back and told don’t do it again.’ People ask for drugs yet it gets given a harder sentence than a kiddy fiddler. There is something seriously wrong with our justice system.
Sadly, he is small fry. The big sharks who live incognito need to be caught.
I think he needs a fix judging from his appearance
Fat twat would of made as much going legit
39 years old, not long then.
Why destroy, maybe worth thousands, give them to homeless/drug prevention charities to auction etc, such a waste. Or sell to cover costs of prison.
Having no job & walking around in latest gear, as (the real Fred) put it is very true.
They do stick out like a sore thumb. Just like the the scumbag in our neighbourhood. He managed to upgrade his motor during lockdown from an old BMW to a inconspicuous Mitsubishi Evo complete with an overly load exhaust & now cruises around in a Range Rover Sport. Making deliveries all through lockdown, leaving his car in the middle of the road whilst dropping off his packages! Certainly appears to be earning the cash, as his lifestyle is far more lavish than any other person I know who is a career for their wife!!!
Dozens of drugie dealers on the Island managed to fake business/ furlough etc with, most got min £25,000 others over £100,000 tried telling benefits Agency and not interested . Probably got insiders taking comission?.
After going into Newport today I saw druggies hanging around openly doing deals, unsavoury people with fierce looking dogs, hoodies a plenty & I thought what has happened to our lovely Island that I grew up in.
