Police on the Isle of Wight are appealing for information after a man in his 20s was seriously assaulted walking home from a pub in Cowes last Thursday.
The incident was reported to police on Monday (4th July) after the victim had left hospital, however, the incident actually took place on Thursday 30th June.
It’s said that the assault occurred sometime between 21:40 and 22:00 whilst the victim was walking home from The Painters Arms. As the male walked along St Mary’s Road he was assaulted by a group of 4 men just opposite the grassy area with the metal gate.
It’s believed he was struck with a metal object and suffered a broken cheekbone and 2 fractures to his eye socket as a result.
The men responsible are described as:
- 1st man – white, approximately 6ft 2ins tall, stocky, mid-length dark hair, full beard
- 2nd man – white, aged a little over 30, thin, approximately 6ft tall. He had straggly, dark, unkempt hair
- 3rd man – described as wearing a Nike shirt. No further description
- 4th man – No description

What is going on is a breakdown in law and order because there are no meaningful sentences handed out anymore. Once these low-intellect scumbags realise they can get away with the little things then they progress to crimes like this. Police are too busy clamping down on hurty words and virtue signalling nonsense to bother with real crime now.
