Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue were tasked to Ryde this morning (Thursday) after a rib had drifted from its mooring in Seaview.
Lifeboat crew members made the journey across the Solent just after 07:34 after receiving reports of a vessel drifting in the water.
Once they had found the boat it was discovered that no persons were onboard and instead the boat has just drifted from its mooring in nearby Seaview.
A tow was started and the vessel was taken toward Seaview where it was handed over to staff from the local yacht club.

Floating ribs can be removed to lower the waist to hip ratio but I don’t think that it is considered practical now.
Opps seaview yacht club. Get the book out and start to learn seamanship.
Least it never contained a cargo of expensive, unwanted trouble, and I am not referring to Cocaine.
