Friends of the Animals are seeking a home for Louis and Cooper – 2 dogs collected on Christmas Eve as an emergency foster.
The charity has now been made aware the dogs would be unable to go back home again.
Island Echo reported earlier this month how the pair’s owner had been hospitalised in the run up to Christmas.
Friends of the Animals have said:
“Their foster carers have been absolutely incredible, looking after them as they needed lots of reassurance, as they were confused and frightened. Both have needed veterinary care, including a dental for Cooper.
“Louis the Shitzu is around 15 years old and prefers a quiet life and goes around at his own pace. He has a good appetite but being an older gentleman, his eye sight isn’t good. We have started Louis on librella for his arthritis, which will be done monthly and has made a huge difference to him as he was in discomfort. We will pay for all and any treatment for him as he will become one of our long term foster dogs due to his age.
“Cooper is an American cocker spaniel and he is around 7 years old. He loves his walkies and playing. He sleeps all through the night and after his dental and treatment for ear infection has a good appetite and loves belly rubs. He would be an adoption dog.
“Both dogs have had grooms by Lucy Nature Paws Pet Services, who did a fabulous job, which is truly appreciated by us.”
Louis and Cooper would like a home together, where they would receive the attention and love they truly deserve.
Anyone able to provide a home should call Friends of the Animals on 522511, Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00.
