A pair of distressed dogs – whose owner had been rushed to hospital on Christmas Eve – were fostered by a local couple thanks to the work of Friends of the Animals.
On the afternoon of 24th December came a call from the adult social care team from St Mary’s Hospital about 2 elderly dogs left home alone.
Even though their Newport office was closed, it did not mean that Friends of The Animals couldn’t help with the team springing into action to find a potential foster home for the distressed dogs, whose owner had been rushed into hospital.
The Friends of the Animals team were very fortunate to find a couple that said yes. Despite not having any information about the pair, the dogs were picked up from their home in Sandown and immediately taken to their foster home.
It is hoped that the dogs will soon be able to be reunited with their owner but in the meantime, they are being very well looked after at their temporary home.
So many lovely people out there, thank goodness for Friends of the animals
Friends of the animals do a great job.
My no.1 charity.
Thank you for taking these dogs in. Hope their owner makes a speedy recovery.
