Whippingham’s Priory School opened its newest facility, the Wellbeing Centre earlier this week (Thursday).
‘Laura’s Space’ is named in memory of Mrs Laura Rhodes and was opened by Mr Mark Rhodes, one of the founders of estate agents Hose Rhodes Dickson, and daughter Amelia.
The 2 main rooms, one a softer therapeutic space and the other a vibrant and flexible work room, are named after Laura’s favourite flowers – the Daffodil Room and the Sunflower Room.
Mr Rhodes cut the ribbon and Amelia, aged 9, declared the Centre ‘officially open’.
Principal, Mr David EJJ Lloyd, said that new facility is ‘incredibly important for the care and personal development of Priory pupils’.
He also thanked Mr Rhodes for his generous donation for the project, along with Mrs Lippuner, owner of Vivus Interiors, for designing the facility at no cost to the school.
Laura’s Space is used when required by pupils of all ages and is a great asset to the school community.

How lovely.
