- Alfie Tomlinson, 26, Garden Way, Newport – pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm after assaulting Dr Tom Burton. He was made subject to a community order until January 2028, including 12 months of mental health treatment and 150 hours of unpaid work, and was ordered to pay £1,800 compensation and a £114 surcharge.
- Gavin Buckle, 38, Hunters Road, Birmingham – admitted assaulting 2 men, resisting a police officer, using threatening or abusive behaviour and failing to surrender to bail. He was made subject to a community order until January 2028, including a 30-day programme, up to five rehabilitation activity days and 100 hours of unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £50 compensation to each assault victim, £100 prosecution costs and was fined £45 for the public order offence.
- Jay Clasper, 24, Lower Woodside Road, Wootton Bridge – admitted assaulting a police officer. He was fined £150 and ordered to pay £50 compensation.
- Mason Tresidder, 24, Downsview, Sandown – admitted driving without insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a licence. He was fined £80, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge, and received six penalty points. No separate penalty was imposed for the licence offence.
- Connor Williams, 30, Leed Street, Sandown – admitted possessing a knife in a public place. He was sentenced to 6 months’ imprisonment suspended for 12 months, with 15 rehabilitation activity days, and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £154 surcharge. The knife was forfeited and destroyed.
- Robert Newton, 50, Grove Road, Sandown – was found guilty after trial of speeding on the M25. He was fined £150, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge, and received three penalty points.
- Bradley Tolfrey, 25, Newport Street, Ryde – admitted being drunk and disorderly, criminal damage and assaulting a police officer. He was fined £40 for being drunk and disorderly and £40 for criminal damage, ordered to pay £38.80 compensation for the damaged custody cell, £85 costs, and £50 compensation to the assaulted officer.
- Sean Chetter, 31, Hill Road, Ryde – admitted driving with cannabis above the legal limit. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge, and was disqualified from driving for 16 months.
- Joshua Quilter, 31, Robin Hood Street – Newport admitted shoplifting clothing worth £114 from Sports Direct. He was ordered to pay £114 compensation and £85 costs.
- Caris Elsbury, 27, Lowtherville Road, Ventnor – admitted 2 speeding offences. For driving at 81mph in a 70mph limit on the A34, she was fined £40 and received three penalty points. For driving at 35mph in a 30mph limit on Leeson Road, Ventnor, she was fined £40 and disqualified from driving for 42 days because of mitigating circumstances.
- Stephen Durkin, 44, Fort Street, Sandown – admitted stealing meat worth £75.45 from the Co-op in Shanklin. He was ordered to pay £75 compensation.
- Michael Haxell, 36, St Johns Road, Shanklin – admitted drink-driving with 44 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge, and was disqualified from driving for 14 months, reducible by 14 weeks if he successfully completed a drink-drive rehabilitation course.
- Sam Scott-Jackson, 35, Green Street, Ryde – admitted stealing a can of Monster Energy drink worth £2.40 from the Co-op. He was fined £40, ordered to pay £2.40 compensation and £85 costs.
