Drug driving is a big problem thesedays on
the island.
They need locking up.
Talk about “unfairness”. One female aged 49 gets caught Drug driving and gets a ban for just 14 months, fined £120, costs of £85 and a £48 surcharge.
Now a male aged 53 gets caught Drug driving gets a ban for 18 months, fined £500, costs of £930 and a surcharge of £200. Same offence but such a different punishment. I ask, why are the magistrates so biased between male and female? In my opinion, the female should have got the same as the male.
Gender doesn’t come into it, employment does.
if you have a job you get sentenced with a fine which is more of a deterrent and which you can pay,
if unemployed because you can’t pay a lot, you get away with it and you pay a minimum amount each week from your benefits, usually £5. Re-affending extends the payment time of that £5.
so, no deterrent if you are on benefits.
So stealing, attacking an emergency worker and being in possession of drugs rates a fine of around half the cost to my wife for being 5 mph over the limit in a 30 mph zone? That’s going to deter the real criminals for sure.
For Christ’s sake Jake Dunkling are you ever going to get your shit together? Your parents are an embarrassment and now so are you. What a waste of potential.
