Nominations for the Sports Awards close at midnight on Monday 16th January.
The Isle of Wight Sports Achievement Awards is an annual event that recognises outstanding achievement or service amongst sportsmen and women of all ages and celebrates our Isle of Wight success stories. The ceremony is presented by the Isle of Wight Sports Foundation, which promotes sport throughout the Isle of Wight and represents and campaigns for all sports and recreation clubs on the Island.
Published each week, the individual sports reports show that there is much to proclaim, but there are also many unsung heroes. The Isle of Wight Sports Foundation would like to see as many sports and clubs as possible represented in the nominations.
Claire Beasley, Chairperson of the foundation, has said:
“This is an opportunity to recognise the immense sporting talent that exists here on the Island and to thank all those who give so much of their time to the development and management of sport.’’
The Awards ceremony will be held at the Medina Theatre on the evening of Thursday 30th March 2023. All finalists will be invited.
The nominations will be judged by an independent panel. Nominations should be made online: iowsports.org/awards/
