Strings Bar & Venue has been nominated for Local Music Venue of the Year at the Portsmouth Music Awards 2025.
The Portsmouth Music Awards is a new initiative built to celebrate and shine a light on those in the Portsmouth and South Coast music scene, with all PO postcodes considered.
The award nomination follows a number of accolades in 2024 including the Music Venue Trusts’ ‘Outstanding Contribution To Grassroots Music’ and a place at the final of the Live Awards for Grassroots Champion.
Strings now need the support of the local community to help them be crowned as the Local Music Venue of the Year.
A spokesperson for Strings has said:
“We are so grateful to be recognised as part of the Portsmouth Music Scene. With so many great music venues on the south coast we are in good company”
“The voting is now down to the public with the closing date being the end of February. We’d really appreciate it if those that have been to our venue over the last year could give us their vote”.
