A community book campaign led by The Story Spot Bookshop is inviting Isle of Wight businesses to sponsor bundles of mental health-focused books for schools and colleges across the Island.
The initiative, run by Lucy Bagshaw, offers local companies the chance to support students by funding a set of carefully selected books tailored to a key stage of their choice. The books are designed to support mental wellbeing and create safe spaces for young people to access important resources.
There are no limits to how many bundles can be sponsored, or which educational setting receives them. Sponsors can choose the school or college they would like their donation to go to.
With concerns around youth mental health continuing to grow on the Isle of Wight, the campaign has been welcomed as a simple yet meaningful way to bring something positive into the lives of children and young people.
One of the first businesses to take part was Circle Fire & Security, based in East Cowes, which will be donating books to the CEECAM.
Williams Estate Agents has also joined the scheme, sponsoring a bundle for Wootton Primary School.
The campaign, which runs once a year, has already seen strong interest from across the community.
