A fault on a train on the Island Line has resulted in all services between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin being suspended this morning (Thursday). South Western Railway says the faulty train is blocking the carriageway at some point along the local rail network. It was just yesterday (Wednesday) that strike action forced all services on Island Line to be suspended. SWR says that disruption is expected until 12:00. UPDATE @ 10:30 – Trains are now running normally following the earlier incident.
