Police have launched an investigation into an attempted robbery in Sandown on Monday.
The incident is said to have taken place near the bus stops at the junction of Victoria Road and the High Street at around 21:30.
Hampshire Constabulary say that a man grabbed another man and demanded cash, but ran off empty handed.
No one was injured and nothing was stolen.
