Coastguard officers from Bembridge and Ventnor assisted the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service in moving an injured woman to an awaiting ambulance in Ventnor this afternoon (Saturday).
Paramedics requested the assistance of HM Coastguard at around 12:40 when a woman in her 50s suffered an ankle injury at Flowersbrook.
Due to the difficult terrain, a basket stretcher was used to to transfer the casualty from where they had fallen to the ambulance up on the road.
She was conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport for treatment.
