Sandown-based ICRTouch is supporting the Isle of Wight Foodbank’s Reverse Advent Calendar initiative for the second year running, providing local families in need with a range of additional items this festive season.
The Reverse Advent Calendar initiative encourages people throughout November to donate an item a day (or any number of day(s) they’re able) from the list provided by the Foodbank. At the end of November, all items are packaged up to provide Christmas goodie bags, given to Foodbank users alongside their essential food collections throughout December, to spread some festive cheer.
Seeing the positive impact last year’s donation made on the local community, this year, ICRTouch has more than doubled its commitment, providing 50 Christmas goodie bags, consisting of 24 items each, bringing the total number of items donated to a huge 1,200.
Kay Lewis, Foodbank Manager, has said:
“I want to say on behalf of us all here at the Isle of Wight Foodbank a massive thank you to our friends at ICRTouch for stepping up in such a significant way this Christmas. Their donation of festive food parcels means we can bring warmth and joy to 50 local households, and we are so grateful for their kindness and support in making a difference in our community.
“We aim to make just over 300 Christmas bags each year through our Reverse Advent Project and this is such an amazing boost for us to be able to reach that figure again this year.”
ICRTouch has a strong ongoing commitment to supporting the local community via charities and good causes and will continue to work closely alongside community groups throughout 2026.
Colin Ringer, CEO of ICRTouch, says:
“We’re really proud to be able to support the IW Foodbank for another year. The work the team and volunteers do for our local communities is fantastic and we’re delighted to be part of providing a few festive treats and hopefully a smile or two to those most in need this Christmas”.
