Forecasters at the IW Met Service have issued an advisory for ice the Isle of Wight overnight and into tomorrow morning (Wednesday).
Temperatures will fall away as the night progresses to allow a slight frost, as well as a few rural patches of ice.
Later in the night a few showers are likely to push in from the English Channel and as these showers fall on to frozen surfaces the risk of ice and black ice increases.
Places most at risk are rural locations away from the west, south and east coast of the island although disruption is not expected on the main routes or in more urban locations.
The weather warning is in force from 00:30 until 10:00 on 31st October 2018.
